**Job Description**
We have casual Grade 2 positions available at Epworth Geelong, based in Waurn Ponds. This role offers the opportunity to assess, manage, and provide client-centred intervention to inpatients and outpatients experiencing swallowing, communication, and cognitive impairments following an acquired brain injury.
You will make an impact with your:
* Strong knowledge within the assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders and how these can have a direct impact on a patient's overall health and quality of life.
* Ability to provide evidence-based, patient-centred care.
* Ability to work collaboratively and confidently within the multidisciplinary team.
* Strong time-management and prioritisation skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have experience working in the acute and sub-acute settings, across a variety of caseloads (e.g., stroke, progressive neurological conditions, head & neck oncology, respiratory, and general medical).
* Be competent (or working towards) administering and interpreting video fluoroscopy studies and/or Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of the swallow.
* Show evidence of your commitment to ongoing learning and skill development.
* Show accountability and compassion in the workplace.
* Show evidence of your involvement in supporting students and peers (Grade 2 roles only).
