SYNDETICOM offers over 30 years of experience delivering quality installations and solutions tothe digital infrastructure space.At Syndeticom, we specialise in designing, building, and supporting world-class digital infrastructure, spanning private networks, audio + visual communication, and mission-critical data centres.We are an expanding business focused on our people and our core values ofLearn, Think, Grow, Connect.About the Opportunity Step into a dynamic position where you'll lead from the front!As a Supervisor/Leading Hand, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and with top-notch quality.From supervising a team of 3-20 employees to driving WH&S standards, your leadership will be key to our success.Tasks and key responsibilities: Lead a team of 3-20 Employees.Provide on-the-job training of apprentices.Planning and management of projects to scope, schedule, budget and resource to achieve maximum output.To directly supervise the labour of the job to promote efficiency and build team morale.Monitor project materials to ensure that materials are ready and available onsite when required to ensure seamless execution of projects.Monitor all variation requests and ensure approval is obtained from the principal contractor prior to commencing work and notify the Project Manager.Report to the Project Manager on all matters affecting work.Ensuring that all site diaries are completed daily and assist the Project Manager by reporting on all design alterations to the project or to the programming of the works.Maintenance of the plant and equipment on the job and to inform the Project Manager when such equipment is required.Responsible for the safety of Employees on the site and to ensure that the Employees are aware of the importance of safety.Responsible for creating an environment where the Employees recognise the authority of the Supervisor/Leading Hand and their role as a mediator between management and labour on matters of employment. Skills and Experience A minimum of 3 years' experience in related communications/cabling/electrical Experience in leading a team of 3-20 Employees.Experience with Data Centre installs for both projects and minor works tasks.Telecommunications trade experience.Strong communication skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time-management skills.Strategic thinking and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.NV1 Clearence Requirements: ACMA General Cabling License or Electrical License (preferred).White Card (OH&S General Induction for Construction in NSW).Unrestricted Australian Driver's License.
