These roles will be situated at our Marian Campus in Noarlunga, dedicated to educating students from Years 7-12. Position Overview Join our Inclusive Education Team as an Inclusive Education Assistant, where your role will be crucial in supporting students with intellectual disabilities and additional learning needs. You will work closely with individual students in the Inclusive Education area, which includes the Marist Centre and Lavalla portfolio, as well as in various classroom settings. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to provide tailored support, helping students engage with their curriculum and fostering a nurturing learning environment. You may also accompany staff and students on excursions, further enriching their educational experiences. You will work under the guidance of the Coordinators of the Inclusive Education Team, ensuring that each student's unique needs are met. Key ResponsibilitiesThe Inclusive Education Assistant will:Provide support and supervision for the students with additional needs in the following ways:1 to 1 support withdrawal1 to 1 support in classgroup work withdrawalsmall groups in classThe role involves collaborating with teachers to suggest strategies and materials, accompanying students on excursions, providing specialised support in challenging subjects, assisting with personal care, modifying exams and assessments, communicating student progress to parents, and participating in professional development and meetings.This role is vital for promoting an inclusive learning environment and ensuring all students receive the support they need.
