The Youth, Family and Community Resource Officer key responsibilities are:
1. Deliver support and intervention services to young people subject to a youth justice intervention, their families, and communities in accordance with legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
2. Implement culturally appropriate individualised case plans through designing and implementing intervention strategies, negotiating with service providers, and linking clients to the services/supports they require (including formal and informal services, government and non-government agencies).
3. Participate productively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team involving a range of internal and external stakeholders and service providers to achieve quality service outcomes.
4. Liaise and develop effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders including families, elders, other key community members, community agencies and Government departments.
5. Undertake a range of record and information management tasks including maintenance of case records, preparation of reports, performance reporting and data entry to ensure casework and organisational accountability.
