About the roleThis is a permanent full-time role which is based in Hervey Bay on Badtjala country land (part-time may be considered for the right candidate).
As a Mental Health Clinician (Clinical Care Coordinator), you’ll work alongside the Clinical Lead and Operations Manager to deliver essential services across the Country to Coast Queensland (CCQ) region. You will be supporting individuals with severe mental health conditions by conducting thorough clinical assessments and developing tailored treatment plans. You will deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, manage a clinical caseload, and conduct risk assessments with detailed management plans.
Other responsibilities may include:
Engage in data collection and contribute to monitoring and evaluation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Facilitate care planning and review processes
Monitor and escalate mental health needs as necessary
Adhere to confidentiality, ethics, and continuous quality improvement standards

Requirements, Experience and Qualifications:
Current annual practicing certificate from AHPRA
Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, mental health nursing, or a relevant discipline
Open driver licence
Undergo a current or satisfactory Police Check
Working with children check (Blue card) or ability to obtain
Flexibility to travel and work after hours
Passionate about making a difference in the mental health sector
Experience with complex mental health presentations
Experience working in cross-cultural settings, particularly with First Nations people
Experience in trauma-informed and recovery-oriented services
Strong stakeholder engagement, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks, navigate challenging situations, and work within a team
