About theOpportunity
The Education and Engagement Advisor is responsible for a rangeof education and advisory services that support the successfuldelivery of SafeWork SA’s initiatives. The role will presentin a proactive and engaging manner to large and differing audienceson legislation administered by SafeWork SA. The incumbent willcollaborate with internal experts to build information andresources to educate external stakeholders.
The incumbent will be comfortable with public speaking, able tolearn and present on new information and will positively representSafeWork SA and our interests.
Acknowledging SafeWork SA’s responsibilities and positionas a regulator in the South Australian Community, this positionwill help drive workplace health improvement and education whilstsupporting broader SafeWork SA initiatives in safety andwellbeing.

SafeWork SA is a business unit within Attorney-General’sDepartment and is responsible for providing work, health andsafety, public safety, and state-based industrial relationsservices across South Australia. As a regulator, our Investigatorsand Inspectors ensure work, health and safety, and public safetystandards are met, and appropriate action is taken when breaches oflaws are detected. We also help people better understand their workhealth and safety responsibilities.

Special Conditions forEmployment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificateclearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicantswill be provided further information if an interview is requested.Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) underany circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing sowill not be recoverable from the AGD.

8. Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services General Employment Probity Check. A renewal will be required every three years.
9. Some out of hours work may be required.
10. Some intra and interstate travel requiring overnight absences may be required.

13. Must be prepared to work during SafeWork SA’s customer service hours 9am – 5pm
