About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, People and Culture, this position works as part of a close-knit team who work together to deliver the full range of People & Culture and WHS initiatives, programs, and services in line with our organisational objectives.
This position presents the unique opportunity to develop and grow knowledge and skills in aged care and local government, working with state-based legislation.
About the role:
As a part of our People and Culture team, you will provide administrative support to the team. You will undertake a variety of tasks including:
* Employee administration including employee related documentation and mandatory compliance monitoring (e.g. contracts of employment, police checks, visa, qualifications, and sector clearances)
* Recruitment administration including preparing interview packs, coordinating interviews and induction
* WHS Administration including Workers Compensation and Hazard and Incident Management
* Learning and Development administration including development and maintenance of our online Learning Management System
* Coordination of training including bookings, facilitators and attendee management
* Maintain the People & Culture inbox and complete requests and tasks
* Providing service and support to our employees regarding people and culture related matters
* Supporting the People and Culture team including general administrative responsibilities
You will have:
* At least 12 months experience in fast paced, high volume administration position or a similar role (HR preferred)
* Well organised with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise
* Flexibility and resilience to effectively manage the demands of this busy role
* Attention to detail to manage the high compliance requirements of the aged care sector
* Ability to provide professional customer service via phone, written and face to face to our employees and other stakeholders
* Experience in the use of HR and Recruitment Systems such as Employment Hero or similar
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Passion for learning new things
* Strong understanding of transmitting of sensitive information whilst maintaining confidentiality
You must be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
