About the opportunity
At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a catering and hospitality manager, you’ll help create cherished moments and better health outcomes for residents each day.
We require a leader to support and manage a quality driven team to provide efficient and effective hospitality services to the residents of location. You will draw upon your experience as a Chef and utilise industry knowledge to foster a resident centred environment that ensures all services provided to residents, family and friends supports our model of care.
* Manage the catering service, ensuring that the residents are provided with a variety of nutritious meals whilst maintaining health regulation compliancy.
* Manage the housekeeping and laundry services, ensuring that the residents receive efficient and effective services, with all the requirements met in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
What you’ll bring
You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
* Previous experience working as a Chef or cook and possess relevant qualifications.
* Strong leadership skills with proven success managing, mentoring and coaching a large team in a busy environment.
* Prior experience in preparation & cooking techniques for a large number of people.
* Experience in menu coordination including development of recipes tailored to an aged care environment.
* Qualification as a Food Safety Supervisor and working knowledge of OHS standards.
* Experience in managing housekeeping and laundry functions.
* Experience working within Aged Care desirable.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
* National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.
* Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
