First Year Traineeship - 2025 Intake

Council is excited to offer Traineeship opportunities for motivated people who have an interest in gaining “hands on” work experience and technical training as a Trainee Maintenance Administration Officer. The objective of our program is to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence to complete the Traineeship, with a view to establishing a career in Maintenance Administration.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Traineeship program requires the successful applicants to enter a Training Contract for 12 months commencing in January 2025.
As part of their individual Training Plans Trainees are required to undertake and complete a Certificate III in Automotive Administration course online (trainer led delivery at the workshop). Trainees commence as a 1st year Trainee and are trained under the instruction of a suitably qualified supervisor. You may be required to rotate between job locations to nurture on-the-job experience for the duration of the Traineeship. Council offers an excellent development program with exposure to many facets of the job throughout the course.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful Trainees' primary responsibility in the position is to obtain the knowledge, skills and competence through tertiary qualifications and on-the-job training.

* Completing and delivering work tasks based on work plans.
* Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers by being responsive to enquiries, required tasks and resolving issues and /or escalate to the supervisor where necessary.

* Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve work tasks.

Other important information
* The salary range for this position ranges between $25k - $42k (dependent on age) plus 11.5% superannuation.
* This is a Temporary full-time role.
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
* This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
