Job Title: Senior Building Officer
The Senior Building Officer is responsible for ensuring the delivery of professional, efficient and effective building advice and development assessment services to Council, community organisations, State Government authorities, developers, and the public. This role ensures that Council's statutory obligations under relevant legislation are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Acknowledge a wide range of development applications
* Investigate and resolve building compliance matters
* Conduct inspections in accordance with Council's Building Inspections Policy
* Enhance team performance by implementing procedures improvements and training new employees
Requirements:
* Minimum four years' experience in development assessment, inspection, and compliance functions
* Deliver high level customer service
* Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical examination
Accreditation:
* Building Surveyor with Level 1 or 2 accreditation
* Current SA State Government building accreditation under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016
Benefits:
* $104,412 – $111,013 per year salary range (plus superannuation)
