Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager, this role is to manage and deliver audit and finance compliance activity for GPC Asia Pacific Group. Focus areas include SOX compliance, managing the external audit and preparation of statutory accounts for Australia and New Zealand. Act as an advisor to Shared Services and business partners including guidance, advice and instruction to ensure compliance with Corporate Accounting policies.Key Responsibilities:Provide finance business partnering support and advice to the Shared Services teams and Business Partners for the understanding and interpretation of Corporate Accounting Policies.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, corporate policies and regulatory changes.Lead External Audit Program for the Group.Preparation of Consolidated Statutory Accounts for the Group.Manage all Finance controls related to SOX Risk & Controls Matrix.Work with Atlanta Head Office to provide input to proposed policies, changes to policies and to obtain accounting treatment guidance for particular material transactions.Cascade regular technical accounting guidance from Atlanta Corporate office to wider Asia Pacific Finance Organisation.Participate in due diligence of potential acquisitions, review target accounting procedures and provide advice and/or instructions for remediation required prior to or following the acquisition.Drive ongoing continuous improvement and orchestrate business education of business practices to ensure continued compliance with relevant accounting standards with improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of processes.Work with auditors (internal, statutory, SOX, compliance) ensuring their work is completed efficiently, and findings are tracked for prompt and adequate remediation.Contribute to sustainability and carbon reporting statutory disclosures required by regulators for Australia, New Zealand and global reporting.Required Skills/Experience:Qualified CA/CPA with 5+ years working in an ASX-listed company, US-listed company or major accounting firm.Understand and demonstrate behaviour in accordance with all Company policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Discrimination, Bullying and EEO and all applicable laws whilst ensuring continual compliance with relevant legislation relevant to the role including OHS.Strong business, finance, and commercial acumen including exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Excellent management, operational, financial, and administrative skills.Adaptive skills: data analysis, analytical and strategic thinking, problem solving, planning and organisation, presenting, results driven, interpersonally savvy, inquisitive, self-managing, influencing and effective communication.Balance competing needs and interests - the ability to assess the needs and interests of multiple stakeholders and determine an optimal course of action.Possess strong problem solving and analytical skills and with a high attention to detail.Ability to drive process improvement and plan for appropriate change management (if required) with input from line manager.Have an ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.Passion and desire to identify and drive Continuous Improvement.Program planning and change management.Looking after you:We are committed to ensuring our people are well looked after.
