Your role:
We are seeking a Project Control Analyst support 3-4 key projects with their project planning, risk management processes, including the project master schedule, work breakdown structure and risk register. You will collaborate with the Design Authority, Project Manager, and provides support to the account manager, control account manager and engineering resources.
This position is based at our Brindabella Business Park office in Canberra.
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the project work breakdown structure and supporting deliverables list.
* Implement and supervise the project scope management process.
* Using industry best practices, develop and maintain a resource-loaded project master schedule using Microsoft Project.
* Perform project schedule status updates and schedule quality analysis.
* Using project schedule data, perform project progress and performance reporting, identify baseline versus actual variances and milestone and work package status.
* Manage the project capacity management process. Produce weekly project resource reports, identifying baseline and actual utilisation, future demand forecasts and capacity management scenarios.
* Manage the project risk management process and risk register. Support project stakeholders to define, analyse and treat project risks. Ensure alignment between the risk register and project master scheduler. Provide weekly risk reporting.
* Where required, support the implementation of earned value management processes across the project, including relevant coding of the project master schedule and supporting EVM reporting.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of core project processes, including project scheduling, scope management, resource management, risk management and earned value management.
Requirements and skills
* Tertiary qualifications in project management, finance, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
* 5 years’ experience as a project scheduler in complex ICT delivery projects.
* Experience developing and maintaining earned value management processes, including schedule risk analysis, rolling wave planning, and EVM reporting.
* Fluency in Microsoft Project, Primavera, OPP or a similar scheduling tool
* Experience creating and managing project schedules using the critical path method.
* Strong data and analytical skills and the ability to produce concise project progress and performance reports.
* Ability to collaborate across project and client teams.
Due to the nature of the role, you hold a current Negative Vetting 1 (or higher) Australian Government security clearance.
