Courts Administration Authority SA – Whyalla SA Sheriff's Officers contribute to an effective support service to all court users by performing duties of a multi-skilled Sheriffs Officer, including in-court support, prisoner security, in court management of prisoners, court precinct security, and point of entry searching.Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service and information to all court users.Provide security and maintain order within the court precinct.Assist witnesses and other court participants with court processes.Oversee emergency evacuations of court buildings, ensuring the safety of all individuals present.Respond to various emergency situations.Special Conditions: This is a casual position up to 12 months with the possibility of being extended.Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act, 1993.Terms and conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act, 2009.This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and the successful applicant is required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with CAA, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.Appointment is dependent upon a National Police Clearance that the CAA finds satisfactory.As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.Incumbents will be provided with training in all aspects of the Sheriff's Officer role and will be required to participate in ongoing refresher training as per Sheriff's Office policy.Sheriff's Officers hold an appointment as a security officer pursuant to the Sheriff's Act, 1978.Will be required to wear full regulation issued uniform.May be required to work in alternate locations at the discretion of the Sheriff or due to the requirements of the courts.May be required to work outside of the normal hours of work and undertake intrastate travel, which may necessitate overnight absences.Appointees may be required to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status.Remuneration: OPS2 - $37.02 per hourHow to Apply: All applications must be submitted online via the I Work For SA website.Search for vacancy 627801 for more details.For additional information about the role and a copy of the Job Profile, visit the I Work For SA Website or contact Dylan Pengilly Acting Regional Operations Supervisor, on 8648 5938 or ******Applications close on Monday 4 November 2024 #J-18808-Ljbffr
