ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial solutions to their customer base. Reporting to the Head of Delivery, you’ll work closely with Product Owners to ensure smooth execution of projects, while managing teams through the Agile delivery process. You will focus on driving efficiency and value while maintaining a strong customer and user experience across the company’s IT projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader to make an impact within a growing and fast-paced digital environment based in Sydney or Melbourne.
DUTIES
1. Lead project teams using Agile methodologies, ensuring effective planning, management, and delivery of solutions.
2. Organise and facilitate team events, stand-ups, and meetings to maintain productivity.
3. Track project progress, manage deliverables and financials, and ensure successful execution.
4. Plan and organise product/system demos and testing to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
5. Provide coaching to the Agile team, helping them stay focused on creating value with each iteration.
6. Remove obstacles and escalate issues when necessary, keeping the team on track.
7. Drive SteerCo meetings and provide regular updates to executives on project progress.
8. Engage in IT forums and contribute to internal discussions, driving transparency and collaboration.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects in an Agile environment. You’ll need a strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies, and have experience managing project budgets, risks, and resources. Familiarity with CCR projects will be an advantage. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are essential to this role, as is the ability to navigate fast-paced and changing environments. Experience in finance or similar industries will be advantageous, though not mandatory.
