We strongly encourage applicants from key communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTIQA+ people, and people living with disabilities.The Role:The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice:Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day to day patient care activities, including patient flow.The role of ANUM in the IPWU is varied and flexible to best support the NUM, the staff and the patients.Care Coordination, patient flow, identification of risk in conjunction with the MDT.Provide onboarding support to new staff and students, including education and supervision.Liaison with internal and external services to ensure comprehensive assessments and follow up.Involvement in operational management, including rostering, policy development and QI.The Team:The IPWU is the only medically supervised detox unit in Tasmania, based in New Town and provides a statewide service. The service is part of the SMHS but also supports the Alcohol and Other Drug NGO sector. There is opportunity to work within a skilled MDT and to access ongoing specialist Professional Development in the area of Alcohol and Other Drugs.Details of appointment:Permanent, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $103,466 - $109,165 per annum (Pro rata).
