About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader in Alice Springs. We are looking for an experienced leader to provide support to our participants and to assist in supervising and mentoring support workers and provide competent leadership and direction in the provision of quality based supported living services to our participants. Job Details Position: Team Leader Disability Services Hours: 76 hours per fortnight Work Location: Alice Springs Key Responsibilities: Ensure effective and efficient administrative procedures and processes are adhered to including the upkeep of participant files and folders, monthly reporting and business planning activities. Ensure compliance with the National Quality and Safeguarding Framework (NQSF) and organisational policy and procedures. Manage areas involving participant of domestic support in the home - including and not limited to, household and personal shopping, meal preparation and menu planning Manage areas of direct care duties involving participant, including and not limited to personal care, transportation, housework, behavioral support, monitoring Maintain the appearance of the home, including the notification of when items need replenishing or replacing e.g. chemicals, furniture, kitchen household appliances Working relationship with participants and their guardians/family Support and drive a workplace culture of teamwork, encouraging participant innovation and creativity Essential Criteria: Desire to make a difference Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience following policies, procedures and plans - NDIS Quality and Safety Practice Standards. Experience assisting people with a disability with activities of daily living, including personal care Understanding, ability and willingness to implement Person-Centred Practices Skills in building relationships with people from diverse backgrounds Able to effectively manage time and balance priorities Experience in using technology to communicate and share information A commitment to equality and diversity. Minimum Certificate IV in a Disability or related qualification and or willingness to obtain within a 12-month period. High level of digital literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and ability to use a digital client management system and rostering and time management system. Effective organisational and time management skills. High level of professionalism including the confidential management of all organisational, client and employee information.
