Business Development Manager - selling SaaS into Construction, Mining, Oil & Gas companies OTE $180 - $200k++
Our client, a leading global SaaS provider, specializes in delivering advanced business intelligence, research, and data solutions tailored to the Industrial, Construction, Oil & Gas, and Mining sectors. In line with their ongoing growth strategy, they are seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager - APAC to drive new business and build strategic client relationships across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the Industrial, Energy, and related sectors, introducing the company’s innovative SaaS platform and solutions.
* Strategic Insight: Understand client objectives, business goals, and key challenges to develop customized response strategies and impactful solutions.
* Sales Qualification: Analyze client organizational structures, budget capacities, and decision-making processes to ensure precise forecasting of new business opportunities and renewal growth.
* Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with senior executives, departmental leaders, and functional users within prospective client organizations.
* Solution Selling: Present and deliver tailored, high-value SaaS propositions that resonate with customer needs, demonstrating clear ROI and competitive advantages.
* Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed monthly new business targets by managing an effective and proactive sales pipeline.
* Operational Alignment: Leverage sales management tools to forecast opportunities accurately, ensuring alignment with corporate sales strategies and initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experience and Background:
* 3+ years of experience in solution or consultative sales.
* Proven success in new business development, ideally with exposure to the Industrial, Engineering, Energy, or Mining sectors.
* Experience selling services or SaaS platforms is highly advantageous.
* Skills and Expertise:
* Fluent in business English, with outstanding communication skills.
* Consistent track record of exceeding monthly sales quotas.
* Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills, including experience in conducting high-impact C-level meetings.
* Ability to influence and negotiate effectively, achieving win-win outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sales cycles and develop new opportunities.
* Expertise in building and maintaining strategic client relationships.
* Proficient in leveraging sales tools for pipeline management and forecasting.
