Job Description
The Australian Submarine Agency's Sovereign Submarine Program Delivery (SSPD) Branch seeks an expert Build Assurance Manager to join the Adelaide team.
This role involves developing, coordinating, and reporting on the SSPD build assurance program. The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, and management of the SSN-AUKUS Build Assurance Systems.
About Our Team
Within the ASA, SSPD is accountable for delivering Australia's SSN-AUKUS class submarines from a new submarine construction yard in Osborne, South Australia.
The team consists of several directorates: Business and Operations, Build, Test and Evaluation, Commercial Management, Engineering, and Shipyard Infrastructure.
The Build, Test and Evaluation Directorate is responsible for ensuring that each submarine meets the approved design safely and efficiently while complying with agreed cost and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, implementation, and management of the SSN-AUKUS Build Assurance Systems;
* Develop close relationships with key stakeholders to coordinate build, test, and evaluation assurance activities;
* Assure delivery of Australian SSN-AUKUS submarines that meet the approved design safely and efficiently.
Requirements
* Vast knowledge of ship or submarine construction;
* Leadership experience in waterfront oversight projects;
* Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills;
* A positive, motivated, organised attitude capable of achieving outstanding results.
