About the role
Working with the Geriatric Evaluation and Management(GEM) Units and Specialist Advanced Dementia Unit (SADU) teams,initially based at the Repat Health Precinct, you will beresponsible for the organisation, management and operation of thedesignated pharmacy area. The provision of a comprehensivehigh-level range of pharmacy services, to exercise independent andautonomous judgement in the provision of pharmacy services,medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients of thehospital as well as medical and nursing staff and other healthprofessionals in accordance with hospital and divisional policiesand procedures and professional standards and guidelines relatingto pharmacy practice. The optimisation of outcomes for patients byimplementing strategies to achieve the best possible quality use ofpharmaceuticals in a safe and cost-effective manner and inaccordance with hospital policy. Based on service need, support isalso provided to other clinical units based at the RHP and acrossthe other SALHN sites, as well as supporting the on-site dispensaryservice as required.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications
11. Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
12. Registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
