About the Role:
As the Service Lead in Community, you will inspire and lead a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred services. This pivotal role ensures operational excellence, drives continuous improvement, and aligns with Aruma's strategic goals. You will partner with management to enhance service delivery, support staff development, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, supervise, and mentor Support Workers to achieve customer-focused, quality outcomes.
* Develop and implement innovative programs that meet customer goals and requests.
* Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and all relevant government legislation.
* Foster a positive workplace culture that reflects Aruma’s BRAVE values.
* Manage operational schedules, including rostering and day-to-day roster management, in a fast-paced environment where quick thinking is essential.
* Review expenditures and ensure accurate NDIS billing.
* Promote safety and well-being across all service areas by conducting risk assessments and ensuring a safe working environment.
* Perform an after-hours component once a quarter, where you'll be on call from Monday to Monday.

About You:
* Diverse Interests: Must have interests outside of providing care, such as a passion for crafts, gaming, or similar hobbies. This helps us create a vibrant and diverse team that brings various perspectives and experiences to the table.
* Experience & Qualifications: Minimum three years in disability services or related field; relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
* Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and lead teams.
* Passion & Empathy: Committed to human rights and creating positive change; compassionate with a deep understanding of diverse experiences.
* Team Player: Collaborative and able to inspire others, fostering a positive work culture.
* Compliance: Current or willingness to obtain necessary regulatory requirements (driver's licence, NDIS clearance, etc.).
