About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator - Farming to join our team in a newly created role at our Norwest head office. This position is essential in ensuring that products and services consistently meet established quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. The Quality Assurance Coordinator - Farming will oversee processes, conduct thorough audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements in product quality and operational efficiency. The role will also require regular travel to farm sites, with an average of 2-3 trips twice a month to audit and assess our sites, ensuring compliance and quality standards are consistently maintained across all our locations.
What you’ll do
* Maintain and update the farming quality manual and review SOPs with the farming department.
* Assist in crisis management programs, including mock recalls and contingency plans.
* Support farm training documentation and assist with the LMS system for training.
* Conduct internal audits against ESA and Pace Standards and manage audit schedules.
* Oversee corrective actions and ensure effective close-outs with onsite staff.
* Assist in the external audit process and manage the ESA portal for audit corrective actions.
* Ensure farming SDS and specifications are up to date and accessible to all sites.
* Maintain farm compliance documentation, including maps, water testing, and salmonella monitoring.
* Prepare reports on safety culture, quality metrics, and areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and stay updated on industry standards.
About You
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a passion for quality assurance? We’re looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience in auditing or quality management, ideally in agriculture or a related field. You’ll need to be comfortable conducting audits, managing corrective actions, and working independently. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as you’ll be liaising with farm managers and stakeholders to ensure compliance. What We’re Looking For
* 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, or a similar role, ideally within agriculture, animal science, food production, or a related industry.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies (ISO Standards).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and liaise effectively with farm managers and stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in quality management software and tools, including Safety Culture and Excel.
* Ability to conduct internal audits, raise corrective actions, and ensure effective follow-up and closure.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
* Proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Ideal to have current internal audit and HACCP Applications and Principles Training. Previous experience conducting internal audits is desirable.
* Comfortable with travel and site visits.
