Narrogin Primary School (PS) is seeking a highly motivated and capable instructional leader with a strong moral purpose to join our collaborative leadership team. The successful applicant should possess an excellent interpersonal acumen and a drive to excel in fostering collaborative relationships and shared leadership within the school.
As Deputy Principal, you will be required to support staff to implement and embed evidence-based, low variance approaches; understanding and the ability to develop staff in alignment with the Quality Teaching Strategy; utilising proven coaching and instructional leaderships skills to engage in open and honest professional dialogue with others to set high expectations. You will lead data-driven reflective practices and improvement initiatives to ensure effective teaching and learning for student success.
Ideally the successful applicant will also display:
1. Excellent curriculum knowledge, including experience in leading a consistent, connected approach to pedagogical practices using Department of Education endorsed, evidence-based strategies,
2. Expertise in developing and leading high impact teaching strategies that support teacher efficacy, through a coaching paradigm.
3. Expertise in data analysis processes for evidence-based planning and case management, experience using Elastik would be advantageous.
4. Outstanding knowledge and skills in leading and supporting the development and embedding of collaborative teams.
5. Expertise in leading culturally responsive practices to maximise learning opportunities for our Aboriginal Students.

Narrogin PS is located within the Wheatbelt South regional centre of Gnarojin, Narrogin, on Wilman Boodjar, boasting a population of 5,000 people. Narrogin PS in partnership with our school community, are committed to supporting our students from Kindergarten to Year 6 to achieve their full potential. 19. complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
20. complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
