What You'll Do:
This role is engaging and diverse, providing you with a wealth of experience and a collaborative team atmosphere. Your daily tasks will include:
Daily Tasks Across Sections:
1. Ensure feed and water availability
2. Monitor pig health and barn environments
3. Maintain cleanliness and remove dead pigs
4. Uphold animal welfare standards
Record Keeping and Monitoring:
5. Maintain accurate records for herd management, effluent removal, and environmental conditions
6. Assist with weighing, grading, and selection of pigs
Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
7. Regularly check and repair facilities
8. Perform preventative maintenance
9. Ensure proper functioning of equipment
Environmental Management:
10. Oversee tractor and equipment operations
11. Manage waste and compost
12. Ensure cleanliness and maintain secure premises
Compliance and Assistance:
13. Follow all production policies
14. Assist other sections as needed
15. Support humane treatment of animals
