You will be responsible for providing comprehensive, safe, evidence-based practice across a range of contexts. You will facilitate optimal health outcomes; performing self-assessment within a scope of practice and competence related to assigned responsibilities, retaining responsibility for individual actions and accountability for care provided.Classification for this position will range from Grade 2 Year 2 ($72,404) - Grade 2 Year 8 ($96,808) per annum, plus superannuation.What you’ll achieve:Fulfil duty of care by practicing within scope of practice in accordance with Australian Nursing & Midwifery Council guidelines.Integrate nursing and mental health care knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective care.Plan mental health care in consultation with others (i.e. multidisciplinary health care team).Your skills and experience:Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional practice Portfolio.Completion or working toward a Post Graduate qualification in the area of Mental Health Nursing.Recent clinical experience within an acute mental health care setting, preferably in child and adolescent or youth mental health.If this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.About the Department:The RCH Banksia Adolescent Mental Health Ward is a service that provides wellbeing and mental health supports for young people aged 13 - 18 years, experiencing serious mental health and wellbeing concerns. RCH provides a range of hospital inpatient, specialist, consultation and community mental health services for infants, children and young people.
