In this role, you'll:Lead a survey party, overseeing the delivery of surveying services and managing projects to meet the organisation's objectives. Verify survey data requests and Deposited Plan deliverables related to land acquisition effects, ensuring strict compliance with Project Deed timelines and supporting property acquisition processes. Collaborate with NSW Land Registry Services to ensure adherence to legislative requirements, and manage and review survey plans for efficient service delivery.Ensure the effective completion of survey projects by employing appropriate methods and actively participating in project meetings. Prioritise compliance with TfNSW regulatory requirements and contribute to infrastructure projects by providing survey services and technical advice during investigation, development, and construction stages. Play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of products through the administration and auditing of professional service provider contracts. Maintain a focus on workplace health and safety, environmental legislation, and the development of a motivated and skilled workforce. Provide valuable insights to project managers, advising them on surveying and spatial information for informed decision-making in project development.
This is a Fixed-term full-time opportunity until January 2027, based in Wagga Wagga.
About you:You are a self-starter and autonomous operator, taking proactive initiatives to establish effective relationships and solve problems. Your skill set includes strong communication and attention to detail, allowing you to manage multiple cross-functional priorities with conflicting deadlines. Proficiency in multitasking, organisational skills, teamwork, and planning are key attributes you bring to the table.You have a proven track record in surveying and associated technologies, providing surveying technical advice, applying relevant legislation, and managing technical risk in infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing contract arrangements, particularly in environments involving private sector partnerships and industry contestability. Expertise in coordinating the development and application of operational systems, policies, and procedures related to surveying. Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems and drive process and system improvements for best practices in the provision of TfNSW survey services.While knowledge of Leica survey equipment and Liscad software is desirable, it's not essential. The essential requirements include registration as a Land Surveyor in NSW and a valid NSW driver's license.
