Foresight manages over 330 infrastructure assets across 12 offices in six countries, in Europe and Australia.
Foresight in Australia
Foresight in Australia owns infrastructure assets all around the country including airports, water storage, ports and more. It specialises in renewables - hydro, wind, solar and battery storage, and has many development projects in progress.
About the Position
Due to ongoing growth in its Australian business, Foresight is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join the organisation in a newly created role within the Commercial Asset Management function.
Reporting to an experienced EGM, the role will primarily be focused in three key areas:
1. Deliver asset management services to a portfolio of renewable assets to achieve optimal asset performance and risk minimisation.
2. Ensure the assigned assets are future proofed against anticipated market movements and effectively positioned to take advantage of market opportunities.
3. Provide high quality reporting on the performance of each of the assets to a range of stakeholders and investment managers.
The Asset Management Team is made up of Asset Managers, Engineers, Development and O&M professionals. It is well supported by corporate services teams, including Finance, Legal, and People & Culture. A very experienced Investment Team sits alongside the Asset Management Team in both the Sydney and Melbourne offices.
About You
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that analysis, assessment, and reporting of asset performance is delivered to a high standard, whilst communicating regularly with key stakeholders. The successful candidate must understand the fundamental drivers of asset performance and understand which levers to pull in order to maximise commercial returns for investors.
* Degree in Finance, Law, or other relevant discipline.
* Proven experience in asset management and/or commercial roles within an asset operating, services, or consulting environment.
* Broad range of strategic skills including an understanding of value chain economics, financial evaluation, business case preparation and interpreting complex data.
* Experience in commercial contract structuring (including project transactions, partnership agreements, energy sale agreements/PPAs).
* Working knowledge of renewable energy projects is highly advantageous - wind, solar, hydro, BESS.
* Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
* Comfortable communicating within a techno-commercial environment.
* Positive mindset and attitude at all times.
