The MGP Midwife will:
Demonstrate a broad range of midwifery skills and knowledge to provide and coordinate woman-centred, evidence-informed, high quality, midwifery care (consistent with NSW and SLHD policies, procedures and standards) for women enrolled in the MGP and their families across the continuum of pregnancy, birth and postnatal/newborn care.Assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with the woman, her family, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.Maintain responsibility for personal and professional development by participating in ongoing training/education activities, clinical supervision and performance reviews in order to continuously improve the level and quality of service.Work with the authority, responsibility and accountability for the achievement and maintenance of quality care and monitoring of outcomes for allocated women.Provide support to other staff.Ideal Candidate Registration with AHPRA; availability and capacity to work and participate in an on-call (24 hour per day/7 day per week) roster across the continuum of care that includes pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period as specified in the Pilot Annualised Salary agreement.Current NSW Drivers Licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) and willingness to travel in the course of employment.Demonstrates commitment to professional development, including evidence informed practice and the acquisition and retention of comprehensive Midwifery skills (to be completed within 12 months of commencement).Benefits and Perks!
