Why not see where we can go?Job DescriptionWe have a great opportunity available to join TAL’s Product, Pricing and Portfolio Management team as a Pricing Actuary. You will be part of a specialist Retirement pricing team who are involved in the design and pricing of new retirement products. This team creates the business case for new initiatives and develops models to price the new product structures to meet TAL’s commercial requirements while delivering value to the end customer.This is a permanent role, working flexibly from our Sydney office.In this role you will:Understand commercial drivers of the Investments business unit, including participating and Unit-Linked product portfoliosContribute to long-term business plans and provide analysis of business impacts of product and pricing changesWork with stakeholders across Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal and Operations to implement product, pricing and system changes to simplify our product portfolioSupport the implementation of product and system changes to accommodate regulatory changePerform member remediation calculationsSupport technology and operations teams with business-as-usual processes such as annual statement productionRun pricing models and analyse resultsContribute to product developmentDevelop existing and new models to price innovative product structuresUnderstand trends in the Australian retirement market, including changing regulation, the advice ecosystem, and competitor’s productsConduct analysis of longevity experienceCalculation of net payments due to clients and reinsurersComplete analysis of profitQualificationsRelevant tertiary qualificationFellowship of Institute of Actuaries in AustraliaKnowledge of superannuation and retirement solutions, including the market they operate withinStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with life investment and retirement products such as annuities, desirableAs part of the recruitment process, there are a number of checks which may be conducted to demonstrate your eligibility for a role at TAL including Criminal History, Bankruptcy, Entitlement to Work, Regulatory and Reference Checks.Additional InformationAt TAL we value diversity in all its forms and are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable culture for all our people.
