Job Description
Your role will involve supporting and maintaining a large enterprise environment spanning multiple locations, both within Australia and internationally.
You'll report to the Storage and Data Protection Manager and be responsible for administering the storage solution, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, managing and maintaining capacity, and supporting storage hardware and software.
You'll provide input into policies, procedures, and SOPs relating to operational storage infrastructure management.
You'll interact with users and technical subject matter experts to ensure delivery meets requirements.
You'll follow defined ITSM processes, including incident and problem analysis and management, technical issue resolution, post-incident reviews, and root cause analysis.
You'll manage ongoing operational requirements related to storage and data protection, implement and test storage firmware and software upgrades, design, implement, and administer new storage infrastructure installations, and perform NetApp and CommVault restore activities as requested.
You'll provide solutions to various technical problems of varying scope and complexity, report on capacity usage, source and analyze relevant subject matter documentation, contribute to IT support process and policy development, and ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and security requirements.
You'll ensure the quality of IT support products and services provided to programs meets regulatory and technical requirements.
Qualifications
Coupled with education and practical experience, you'll demonstrate a proactive approach, understanding the business, identifying issues, and developing relationships to achieve company objectives.
You'll have:
* Relevant certifications or professional membership relating to Netapp storage systems.
* Substantial professional experience working in a role within an engineering or project environment (preferably in a similar industry).
* Substantial experience with Netapp technologies and infrastructure is essential.
* Proven experience administering, configuring, and managing large-scale storage and data protection solutions using NetApp and CommVault.
* Proven experience in the use of AQUI.
* Substantial knowledge and application of a broad range of skills, including software, systems, and enterprise architecture, software and hardware engineering, interface protocols.
* Substantial experience working in a large enterprise environment.

You'll have strong conceptual, analytical, and interpretive skills with a high level of attention to detail, a strong focus on customer service, and strong planning and organizing skills.
This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a Defence NV-1 or NV-2 level security clearance.
