About The Business Unit The Department of Justice and Community Safety consists of eight regions that provide compliance, enforcement, and regulatory services to the Victorian community. The Loddon Mallee Region offers services at Justice Service Centres in Bendigo, Swan Hill, Echuca, and Mildura, as well as at outreach locations across the region, such as Castlemaine, Maryborough, Kerang, Robinvale, Kyneton, and Ouyen. Corporate Services is responsible for providing the Loddon Mallee Region with a range of corporate support functions, including administration, finance, procurement, fleet, facilities management, and risk management. About The Role In a Justice Service Centre, a Justice Officer performs reception and concierge duties, as well as administrative and business support services. Justice Officers also provide assistance to Births, Deaths, and Marriages; Community Corrections Services; Youth Justice; Sheriff's Office of Victoria; Community Services; Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committees; Consumer Affairs Victoria; Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria; and more. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, adaptability, integrity, accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. Some Of Your Duties Will Include Providing relief, support, and assistance in various corporate service functions within the Region as needed. Operating the switchboard, including receiving and resolving inquiries and directing calls to the appropriate area. Providing accurate advice and information to visitors regarding services available at Justice Service Centres in compliance with business processes. About You As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Well-developed computer literacy. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations is beneficial but will otherwise be acquired in the role. Politeness, professionalism, and consideration in dealing with others while being aware of people's moods and temperament and expressing own views in a constructive and diplomatic way. Qualifications/Requirements Advanced computer skills including effective use of various systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, appointment scheduling, and internet is desirable.
