Green light is seeking experienced Systems Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineers to support the development and integration of complex systems for aerospace and defence projects. You will be involved in testing and verifying mission systems, with a focus on communications, avionics, software, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hardware Integration & Testing: Work with hardware and systems to integrate and test mission systems, especially communications systems.
2. System Requirements & Design: Help define system requirements, design specifications, and testing methods using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
3. Verification & Testing: Conduct tests to ensure systems meet performance and safety standards.
4. Training & Simulation: Use aerospace and defence simulations for system testing and training purposes.
5. Aerospace Systems Knowledge: Apply your understanding of avionics and safety certification standards to ensure system integrity.
6. Process & Configuration Management: Manage processes for problem reporting, change control, and technical data coordination.
7. System Security: Ensure system security and support efforts to achieve accreditation.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
1. Experience with mission systems, including radio and IP communications.
2. Strong background in systems engineering, requirements, design, and verification.
3. Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
4. Knowledge of aerospace systems, especially avionics and safety/certification.
5. Experience in system security and achieving accreditation.
Clearance: NV1 Clearance
Location Flexibility: Brisbane preferred, but Newcastle and Adelaide also considered.
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with training and simulation systems for aerospace or defence.
2. Strong software testing skills, including automation and system integration testing.
Estimated Salary:
$120,000 - $180,000 per year
Salary Estimate Based On:
* Average salary for T&E Engineers in Australia: $100,000 - $150,000 per year.
