To support their expanding operations, they are now looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent basis. About the Role: Reporting to the Managing Director and working collaboratively among a close knit team, the role will include but not be limited to: Prepare and process weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy in pay rates, deductions, and superannuation contributions. Complete and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) in compliance with tax regulations and deadlines. Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and follow-up on overdue accounts. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. Assist in preparing monthly and yearly financial reports to provide insights into the company’s financial performance. Ensure accurate tax reporting and assist in preparation for annual tax returns. Coordinate with external accountants for tax planning, audits, and other financial matters. Provide administrative and clerical support to the team as needed. About You: To be considered for this role, you’ll need a solid understanding of accounting principles and hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. You’ll be proficient in accounting software and MS Excel, with a keen eye for detail and strong time management skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the construction industry is highly advantageous. A positive, reliable attitude and the ability to work well within a team are key to success in this role.
