We pride ourselves on being a 100% Australian owned family business, consistently providing quality products and excellent customer service.The role:In the coming months, operations will be moving from Kensington to Sunshine, therefore the role will be primarily based in Sunshine, however may require some travel to the current site in Kensington and oversight of operations at the Tottenham site.Oversee operations across all sites and third-party warehousing, ensuring efficient allocation of staff and resources, on-time customer deliveries. Identify areas for improvements, mentor warehouse staff, ensure compliance with relevant authorities and laws, and contribute to a workplace culture of high performance, respect, and collaboration.This newly created role is full time (38 hours per week), Monday to Friday. On occasion and during busy periods, reasonable extra hours may be required.Tasks will include:Overseeing and participating in loading and unloading of trucks for inwards and outwards goods. Ensuring compliance with storage procedures for inwards goods, and accurate and complete paperwork/labels for outwards goods;Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation/regulations or OHS, storing of dangerous goods, EPA, and Fire Rescue Victoria;Develop and run Toolbox meetings;Quality assurance testing for internal productions and incoming raw materials;Ensure all operational areas and equipment (warehouse, surrounding grounds, trucks) are well maintained and kept tidy;Liaising with warehouse team members and office staff to ensure everyone is kept informed of inwards/outwards goods status, delays or issues, changes to daily runs, and other pertinent information;Workflow management and allocation of staff and resources;Provide leadership and mentoring to warehouse team, lead by example;Maintain accurate inventory records, report and correct discrepancies;Report on potential areas for process improvement, changes to processes to be documented, implemented, and monitored for success;Comply and oversee compliance with established safety policies and procedures;Compliance with incident reporting procedures, including near misses;Opportunities to train and update skills;Social functions and team days;Growing business = opportunities for further development.Skills and Experience:Current driver's licence, no restrictions, can drive manual;Forklift licence and experience;Previous warehouse management or supervisor experience a must;Ability to solve problems, work through conflicting priorities and good time management;Good written and verbal communication skills;Computer literacy with a good understanding of Microsoft products and ability/willingness to learn new systems;Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.To apply for this role, please include a cover letter and resume.How do your skills match this job?
