As an Aquatic Operations Officer you will work as part of apassionate team at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre(MARC), one of the premier sporting facilities in Western Australiasupporting programs and services for the local community.
In this role you will be primarily responsible for thesuccessful operations of the Aquatic component of the Centre on aday-to-day basis.

5. The efficient and effective aquatic operations of the MARC;
6. Effective customer-focused service ensuring customer needs and requirements are paramount when making decisions and taking appropriate action;
7. To facilitate effective teamwork to enhance the quality of service;
8. Ensure Aquatic Operations staff are efficiently organised to ensure a high standard of service is delivered to all customers;
9. Ensure that the Aquatic Operations are conducted in a safe environment;
10. Ensure Workplace Health and Safety requirements are managed, observed and adhered to
11. Ability to “think outside the box” and be flexible in the delivery of services to meet our community’s evolving expectations.
What can you bring to the team?
12. WA Pool Operations Competency Certificate or equivalent
13. Leisure Institute of WA Aquatics Accreditation and Current Membership
14. Minimum of three years previous experience in a similar position
15. Current Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard Award
16. Provide First Aid Certificate
17. National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
18. Current Working with Children Clearance
19. Knowledge of all legislation and regulations for the operation of an Aquatic and Recreation Centre in Western Australia
20. Previous experience in the supervision and development of staff
21. Previous experience of Recreation Industry particularly with current trends, programs and initiatives relevant to operating Aquatic Recreation Centre.
The finer details
This Level 4 position attracts a salary of $75,419 to $81,093gross per annum plus 10% loading for applicable early/late shiftsin accordance with the City’s enterprise agreement; 25%loading for any Saturdays worked; and 50% loading for any Sundaysworked.
The successful person will be required to work mornings,afternoons, and weekends on a rotational basis. It isanticipated, based on the available roster, the total salary wouldbe in the range of $86,057 to $92,552 gross per annum (inclusive ofpenalties).
