ABOUT THE ROLE Position Ballina Shire Council has implemented special measures to achieve gender equality in our operational workforce. Reporting to the Supervisor Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, this position is responsible for operating and maintaining Council’s wastewater and recycled water treatment plant facilities. A key objective of the role will be to train and mentor trainees and to work constructively with the team to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. To be considered for employment to the position, applicants must identify as female. Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment or equivalent. Demonstrated working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment operations including adherence to regulatory, health, environmental and safety requirements. Demonstrated experience in the supervision and training of staff. Proven good communication skills, both oral and written. Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and devices (e.g. tablets, iPhone) applications. The rewards An annual salary range of $63,900 to $73,300 (plus 11.5% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications. 9 day fortnight working arrangement.
