Design Manager Job Description
We are seeking a Design Manager for a major social infrastructure opportunity in Perth.
The successful candidate will lead and manage all design phases, from conceptual development through construction documentation and completion.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring designs align with project goals, budget, and timeline
* Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated and functional design solutions
* Developing and managing design schedules and milestones
* Reviewing and approving design documents, ensuring quality and accuracy
* Identifying and mitigating risks related to design and construction integration
Requirements include:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
* Minimum 8–10 years of experience in design management, with at least 5 years specialising in healthcare projects
* Proven track record of delivering complex healthcare construction projects on time and within budget
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
* Ability to balance creative innovation with practical implementation
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities to manage multidisciplinary teams
