The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Track project milestones and deliverables.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in the marine or defence industry.
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Clearances
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
