St John's College is a Catholic secondary learning community established by the Good Samaritan Sisters in 1940. St. John’s is well known for excellence in academic pursuits, dramatic and musical presentations, sporting success in rugby, netball, cross country and athletics, and community service programs. Some unique features of the school are its pastoral care program, inclusiveness of students with disabilities, staff-student relationships, energetic Parents & Friends Association and community links.
We are seeking a Teacher Aide to undertake a range of tasks in supporting the needs of students, under the direction of the teacher, across multiple classrooms.
Duties include:
• General classroom support;
• Preparation of resources and clearing learning materials;
• Using technology to support learning activities and administrative duties such as photocopying and filing.
Ideally you will have:
• Previous experience as a Teacher Aide and/or hold a minimum of a Cert 3 in Educational Support;
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
• An understanding of the workflow of a classroom and a willingness to work as part of a team. You will also demonstrate an ability and initiative to apply your skills in supporting students to achieve successful learning outcomes.
