We are looking for a passionate Casual Registered Nurse to join our close-knit team based at our Tugun clinic located on the Gold Coast. You will be part of a small team, providing clinical care, education and support the delivery of an exceptional patient experience by responding to patient needs as part of a multidisciplinary team. On offer is a casual position, working various shifts as required in our Radiation Oncology department. We are an outpatient clinic and as such are open Monday to Friday so no weekend work! More specifically, you will: Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patient's physical and psychological needs are met. Undertake direct patient care including education, wound management and medication administration as per Practice Protocol. Effectively manage the patients that are seen each day. Facilitate effective lines of communication with doctors, medical oncology staff, patient services, and radiation therapists. Provide up to date patient feedback to all staff listed above. Ensure all patient interaction is documented, communicated and actioned. Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices and clinical guidelines in line with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards. Ensure medication management protocols are followed. Establish communication for allied health services using ISBAR communication tool to all allied health services along with supported documented evidence. Demonstrate reliability, motivation and flexibility. We're looking for someone who has: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Minimum 2 years post graduate experience is preferred. Oncology experience is preferred, but not essential. Training in radiotherapy nursing will be provided, with an option to upskill in chemotherapy in the future. Exemplary interpersonal communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy for all patients and their carers. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS Commitment to continuing professional development. Wound care management experience desired. Ability to use electronic clinical administration systems, as well as MS Office is highly preferred.
