The role requires exceptional organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strong ability to lead, influence, and achieve outcomes that align with the needs of various stakeholders. Key responsibilities include coordinating and providing strategic guidance for Agriculture Victoria's Aboriginal Self-Determination Sub-Committee, co-chaired by the Deputy Secretary, Agriculture Victoria, and the Executive Director, Agriculture Policy and Programs. This role will be instrumental in integrating self-determination principles into strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration across government agencies, and advancing Agriculture Victoria's contribution to successful self-determination efforts. Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Experience working with First Nations Victorian's and priorities within a government context would be highly regarded. Experience engaging with agriculture, economic development and/or self-determination strategies would be highly regarded. Sound knowledge of Victoria's First Nations community and food and fibre/agriculture First Nations business sector, and the key issues and priorities that shape them would be highly regarded. This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
