Firmware and Embedded Software Engineer - Entertainment Industry Engineering - Software (Information & Communication Technology)
This role involves working with experienced mentors in the entertainment industry, gaining valuable experience in product design for consumer electronics, from PCB design to firmware and manufacturing.
You will begin by shadowing a Senior Engineer to familiarize yourself with design files, the code base, and test labs. Your initial contributions will involve solving FreeRTOS and protocol implementation issues and participating in firmware design, particularly in greenfield new product development.
As you progress, you will take ownership of your own projects, focusing on direct-to-customer electronics products, allowing you to spend more time designing, prototyping, and validating your ideas. Within 12 months, you will see your designs in the hands of consumers.
Minimum Requirements:
* A relevant computer science or electrical engineering degree
* At least a couple of years of experience designing firmware
* Experience in environments with up-to-date software development processes
* Knowledge of how RTOS works and experience with modern MCUs (e.g., STM32)
* Familiarity with the tech stack including AWS, Embedded C++, FreeRTOS, and various networking and communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Bluetooth)
The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have excellent communication skills.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
