Your Role
Influence the strategic development and profitable growth of the Financial Lines portfolios and provide support to the D&O, PI, FI, Cyber, and Management Liability lines of business across Australia and New Zealand.
Your Responsibilities
1. Lead and perform portfolio reviews, including enhancement of the monitoring framework sophistication.
2. Lead and perform pricing projects and rating algorithm development for key portfolios and new digital products.
3. Lead and perform pricing and performance reviews for key scheme and portfolio opportunities.
4. Provide high quality and timely actuarial advice to the Financial Lines Product team.
5. Present to a wide range of internal stakeholders including senior management, front line business, both locally and overseas in helping to formula business strategy.
6. Promote innovation through constantly improving current processes with an automation focus.
7. Guide and mentor actuarial analysts on projects and tasks, providing feedback and support for their development.
Your Skills & Experience
8. 5+ years work experience in Accounting.
9. Qualified actuary with 5-8 years of experience in general insurance.
10. Strong business knowledge and communication capabilities
11. Solid foundation in applying advanced statistical and data mining techniques to solving business problems
12. Ability to manage competing projects and meet deadlines
13. Ability to work with key internal and external stakeholders on all projects
14. Experience with SQL, Python or R; EMBLEM, RADAR highly desirable.
