About the opportunity
There is currently one (1) 12-month fixed-term position available for immediate filling.
Secondment opportunities may be considered for current public sector employees.
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as an Information and Data Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the activities undertaken by the Information and Data Management (IDM) team to meet business needs and in compliance with all legislative requirements.
You will play a key role in developing and executing information management strategies and policies that support Information Classification, Freedom of Information, and Privacy Legislation.
In this role, you will engage closely with senior leadership, vendors, and service providers to promote the integration of collaborative technologies and processes that address both current and future organizational information needs.
We are looking for individuals with:
extensive knowledge of legislation, standards, and compliance requirements for managing government and public sector information and digital services.
demonstrated experience in leading and managing an information or data management function within a complex organizational setting.
strong communication skills with the ability to consult effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
highly developed organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
