The Role This is a great opportunity in Sydney for quality and talented Pastry Chefs to join the team on a full-time basis. As a Pastry Cook at Merivale, you will need the following experience and attributes: 2+ years relevant experience in the industry. Knowledge around preparing pastry products including doughs, pastry fillings, cakes, buns, biscuits, and bread. An understanding of baking, shaping, and decorating pastry and bread products. Worked in a quality restaurant, patisserie, cafe, or hotel. Experience operating large machines including mixers, ovens, and dough forming machines. An understanding of HACCP, hygiene practices, and following WH&S. Can follow a recipe and accurately weigh ingredients. Good communication skills, attitude, and be a team player.
