Position Information Boorowa Central School is a beautiful farming village located in the Hilltops region in the Southwest Slopes of New South Wales.Its main industry is agriculture and is located 3 hours southwest of Sydney, just over an hour northeast of Canberra and within 30 min of both Young and Yass. Selection Criteria Outstanding communication, prioritisation, management and organisational skills to effectively lead the complex day to day operations of the school. A highly visible and proactive leader with demonstrated impact in leading teaching and learning to create a positive culture of high expectations, ensuring evidence-based teaching practices have direct impact on student growth and achievement. Proven ability to lead, collaborate, implement, and evaluate whole school initiatives that build capacity of middle leaders and teaching staff to embed best practice in behaviour management and wellbeing. Demonstrated excellence in building a positive school culture of inclusion, support and community engagement that ensures authentic partnerships with diverse stakeholders. General Selection Criteria Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
