As the Principal Contractor for the Naval Communications Station Harold E Holt (NCSHEH) located in Exmouth, Western Australia, Raytheon Australia provides services for the maintenance and operation of critical defence infrastructure including the Space Surveillance Telescope, Very Low Frequency (VLF) Communications Transmitter and C-Band Radar.
To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Maintenance Officer who is ready to join a diverse, talented, and enthusiastic team in Exmouth, Western Australia.
The Maintenance Officer supports program maintenance requirements to ensure the achievement of key performance indicators. The Maintenance Officer does this through planning, coordination and reporting of maintenance activities, and the execution of associated maintenance management information system activities.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Utilise planning tools to assist with planning and prioritisation activities for the program maintenance teams.
5. Manage and control maintenance documentation in authorised maintenance management information systems.
6. Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed and certified in accordance with approved procedures and maintenance management information system requirements.
7. Action applicable maintenance policy amendments as issued by the engineering authority.
8. Coordinate modifications and ad hoc inspections / maintenance activities.
9. Conduct mission system equipment configuration control in accordance with company and customer requirements.
10. Undertake support equipment management, including the call-out of equipment requiring calibration.
11. Produce and provide input to reports, on a regular or ad hoc basis, as directed and/or requested.
12. Data management in accordance with relevant and current publications, standards, regulations, and/or customer requirements.
13. Provide guidance and assistance in relation to the maintenance management information system to staff as required.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
14. Minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience required.
15. Requires a Certificate III in an Engineering related discipline or equivalent experience.
16. Ability to provide guidance and assistance to less experienced professionals and/or support employees, as required.
17. Influence decisions for optimum outcomes in terms of safety, quality, schedule and cost.
18. Initiate and influence change towards improvement. Practical understanding and ability to use software-based inventory management systems.
19. Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of technical equipment maintenance.
20. Requires practical knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work. Practical knowledge of material management planning and development.
21. Experience using Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365.
