The opportunity and about the role:
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the Bids and Tender Writer develops and writes business proposals for tenders and major bids, helping Healthcare Australia succeed in the market.
Responsibilities include completing response documents that clearly showcase HCA’s operational capabilities. This role requires strong skills in content creation, writing, and editing, with an ability to meet strict deadlines in a complex business environment.
The Bids and Tender Writer also reviews and interprets tender and procurement documents to ensure all responses meet mandatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Writing all aspects of tender and bid submissions for identified opportunities
2. Collating responses from key stakeholders required to accompany each submission and ensure high standard presentation and alignment with client expectations
3. Work with operational leads to assist in developing a winning solution and ensuring that the solution is captured accurately in response documents
4. Assist in maintaining a library of information which can be used as and when required
5. Provide advice on flow, language, and presentation of responses
6. Assist in maintaining master documents and templates
7. Ensure consistent branding for all company specific documents
8. Assist in managing communication flows with third parties through HCA’s designated communication channels
What you will bring to the role:
A strong communicator, your experience and well-developed problem solving skills have provided you an outcome-focused, systematic approach to finding solutions and delivering on time frames required.
You actively engage and are present in team forums, maintaining good working relationship with clients, peers, and other divisions.
You’re confident working under pressure, juggling conflicting priorities as they arise, must have tender program experience and ideally you will have bids, tenders or sales proposal writing experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
9. High level stakeholder management skills.
10. Highly organised in project management, planning and scheduling.
11. Proven ability to quickly understand the tender documentation and requirements.
12. Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Word
13. Ability to work efficiently to meet rigid deadline submissions.
Experience:
14. Tertiary qualifications within a Business related discipline
15. Minimum 5 years experience in tender or proposal writing in diverse settings
16. Experience writing Government tenders essential
17. Experience in understanding commercial and Government contracts preferable
