While our primary focus is the Southwest, our network extends to the Pilbara region, providing you with opportunities to work in a broader geographic area with ongoing support from a larger allied health team.We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team, serving clients across the Southwest and collaborating with our team in the Pilbara. As part of our supportive network, you will have access to resources and expertise that will enhance your professional growth and provide the best outcomes for clients in the region.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and client goals.Provide therapy and intervention for a variety of speech and communication needs (e.g., speech delays, stuttering, aphasia, dysphagia).Collaborate with other health professionals, educators, and families to provide holistic care.Support clients to enhance their communication and daily functioning.Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in line with professional standards and company policies.Keep up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and evidence-based practices in speech pathology.Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development opportunities with both the local Southwest team and the broader Pilbara team.Experience and Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current SPA (Speech Pathology Australia) membership.Experience working in paediatric and/or adult speech pathology (new graduates are welcome to apply).Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.A compassionate, client-centered approach to care.Experience in community-based settings or a strong desire to work in these settings is highly regarded.Current driver’s license and access to own vehicle (for home visits).What's on offer for the successful candidate:As a Speech Pathologist at South West Therapy Services, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals of all ages, working with children, adults, and older clients with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs.
