We have a fantastic opportunity for a TOOLING / MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join Alto Manufacturing Pty Ltd, in Pact Packaging division of AU PACT Group PTY.
Job Description
Reports to Tooling Engineer, Key relationship with-Production Manager, Plant Engineers, Shift Supervisors, Quality Manager
- Improvements to tools and machinery to increase productivity & quality of product
- Maintaining tooling to maximise available production time and efficiency
- Maintaining plant and equipment (moulding & in-line equipment)
- 1st escalation point for moulding technicians when problem identified
- Install mechanical equipment and parts to machinery
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Input into design and upgrades of equipment
- Design, Promote and Carry out Preventative Maintenance
- Ensure all machines are safe and fit for purpose
- Actively promote safe working practices
- Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards
- Work with Contractors
- All repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and pre-determined specifications
- Effective communication – keeping Management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required
- Perform other mechanical tasks and responsibilities as specified by Production Manager
Qualifications
Formal Fitter and Turner, Tooling; Diploma / Trade School
- Work on robots and program Cognex vision cameras
- Good computer skill/able to learn additional automation requirements
- Use various tools and equipment to manufacture, assemble and fit parts, which require knowledge of principles of mechanics
- Understanding numerically controlled equipment hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
- Forklift license and Overhead Crane accreditation
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee regularly is required to climb; stoop; kneel; crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25kg.
