Two divisions – Santos Energy Solutions and Santos Upstream Gas and Liquids – are accountable for global portfolio management and strategy.About The RoleAs part of the NT Government and Community Affairs Team based in Darwin, this role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Darwin Shopfront and providing administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This highly community-focused position involves developing corporate communication materials, coordinating community events, assisting job seekers, and maintaining a secure site while overseeing the front shop. The aim of this role is to strengthen the connection between the community and operational activities, advocate for Santos, and enhance industry support.Key Accountabilities IncludeAct as the main contact at the Darwin Shopfront, providing company and project information to the community.Develop and implement communication plans, including external and internal communications, consultation materials, and media advertising.Assist the NT Government Affairs and Community Team with stakeholder meetings, events, engagements, and partnership activities.Oversee and address queries via the 1800 community phone number and community mailbox.Ensure company communications are effectively shared with internal and external stakeholders.Provide general administrative support, maintain shopfront supplies, and oversee maintenance services.About YouYou have strong communication skills and ideally have experience in community relations. You excel at engaging with the public and stakeholders, coordinating events, and providing administrative support. With a confident, positive, and warm personality, you are community-minded and take initiative, making this role uniquely your own.Required SkillsStrong ability to communicate effectively and build relationships.Proven experience in community relations, with knowledge of oil and gas industry issues.Experience in creating and implementing internal and external communication materials.Demonstrated experience in engaging with the public and key stakeholders in communications or community roles.Experience in organising and coordinating events and activities.Advanced secretarial and administrative abilities, encompassing call management, email correspondence, and file system maintenance.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Tertiary qualifications in public affairs, business management, communications, or similar fields will be highly regarded.Additionally, this role will occasionally require travel within the Territory for community engagements and events.Supporting a Diverse WorkforceSantos acknowledges that we operate on the traditional lands of Aboriginal people.
